Reformed Quote of the Month

"Without absolutes revealed from without by God Himself, we are left rudderless in a sea of conflicting ideas about manners, justice and right and wrong, issuing from a multitude of self-opinionated thinkers"

      - John Owen

Excerpts from the Westminster Confession of Faith Shorter Catechism

Q. 7. What are the decrees of God?

A. The decrees of God are, his eternal purpose, according to the counsel of his will, whereby, for his own glory, he hath foreordained whatsoever comes to pass.

Pray With Your Eyes Open

Monday Night Bible Study

We will begin a new Bible study using Dr Richard Pratt's book "Pray With Your Eyes Open." In this book Pratt offers the reader ways to deal with inadequate prayer lives. He offers biblical direction on how to pray more effectively. Key issues such as honest confession of our needs, form and freedom in prayer and questions such as why pray when God will do whatever He pleases anyway are explored. It will begin late June to early July. Check the website, next month's newsletter, and our website to exact date it will begin.
