When the post-ressurection Jesus appeared to His disciples in Galilee to give them the Great Commission, he prefaced His charge by first making an astonishing claim. He possesses all authority in heaven and on earth. There is nowhere one can go to escape His jurisdiction and no power capable of thwarting His purpose. Jesus wields the greatest authority in the universe.
