Praying in the Spirit 2/11/2018

Ephesians

In Ephesians 6:18, Paul tells us to pray with all kinds of prayer and supplication “in the Spirit.” The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of adoption by whom we are granted access to the Father. To pray in the Spirit is to pray under the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit who directs us to pray according to the Scripture. The Holy Spirit not only aids us in prayer, He intercedes on our behalf according to God’s will when we do not know what to pray.
