Even though Jesus told His disciples He must suffer betrayal, die, and rise again on the third day, no one expected His resurrection. When reports that He had risen began to circulate, they were met with skepticism. As Luke 24:41 shows us, even when Jesus appeared to HIs followers and invited them to touch Him, they found it hard to believe. No amount of evidence will convince someone of the Truth of the resurrection unless God grants the gift of faith.
