The climax of Paul’s remarkable prayer in Ephesians 3 is a summary of his petitions. All that he has asked for will result in God’s people being filled up by the fullness of God. This rather perplexing statement is not request for deification but a prayer for our ultimate glorification when we will be fully restored as images of God. The prayer is that we would fully reflect the glory our benevolent God as we receive all of Him we are able to receive and still remain human.
