The Gospel or Felt Needs 9/29/2013

The Mission of the Church

Despite the popularity of attempting to reach people by appealing to their felt needs as a means of opening the door to the Gospel, it is unbiblical and ultimately unfruitful. The sinner's need for salvation is unlike any other perceived need. Focusing on a person's felt needs is not only a distraction but fosters selfishness and reenforces the faulty assumption that they themselves can identify their true need and find fulfillment.
