That We Might Know Him
John 1:1-18 takes us on a breathtaking journey from eternity past into the very heart of the Incarnation. God's Word is not merely an abstract concept or divine utterance—His Word is a person, the eternal Son who existed in perfect communion with the Father before time began. He became flesh and dwelt among us. The invisible God made Himself visible, the untouchable became touchable, and the unapproachable drew near, but the world He created did not recognize Him. Even His own people rejected Him. But all who receive Him, who believe in His name, are given the right to become children of God. This is a sovereign work of God's grace. Though Christ is now seated at the Father’s right hand, we still behold God's glory through Scripture as His character of grace and truth is revealed in Christ. The question that matters most in eternity is simply this: Do we know this true and living God?
