Paradise Restored and Fulfilled
Our God refuses to be ignored. The word given to Joel reveals a profound truth: humanity's greatest problem isn't that God is silent, but that we've turned a deaf ear to His constant witness. He speaks through creation itself, through Scripture, and ultimately through Christ, yet the world actively suppresses this truth. Sadly, even the redeemed can become spiritually hard of hearing when God's message challenges our comfort. The prophecy reveals a coming day when no one will be able to ignore His voice—when the Lion of Judah roars and the entire cosmos trembles. Yet this terrifying day holds a beautiful paradox: while God's enemies face judgment, His people find Him to be their refuge and stronghold, destined for a new heavens and earth. We're living in the in-between time, where Christ has already poured out His Spirit but hasn't yet returned in final judgment. The question confronting us is simple: will we hear His gentle voice now, or wait until we must hear His thunderous roar later?
