Empowered by the Holy Spirit

The prophecy of Joel 2:28-29 was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost as the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to be Christ’s witnesses. The Holy Spirit has been poured out on all of God’s people that our speech might be full of grace and characterized by wisdom as we declare the revealed will of God. If we want to be filled with the Spirit, we must avail ourselves of the means of grace.
