I Will Pour Out My Spirit on All Flesh

Christ’s first coming was a Day of the Lord, a divine visitation in judgement and redemption. It marked the end of the age of promise (the former days), inaugurating the age of fulfillment (the last days), which will be consummated with Christ’s return. While the outpouring of the Holy Spirit awaited Christ’s ascension into heaven, the saints of old were born of the Spirit just as the saints of our day.
